Fixed Flight Timings: Helicopters have fixed departure timings. And therefore, passengers are required to report on time. If you fail to reach by time, it will be considered a case of NO SHOW.

Helicopter Weight Limitation: The maximum passenger weight (excluding the baggage weight) a helicopter is allowed to carry on trips is 450 kg. Passengers must provide their correct weight at the time of booking to avoid any hassles later on.

Baggage Allowance: Each passenger is allowed to carry one baggage, weighing a maximum of 5 kg on their Helicopter Yatra. Avoid bringing big bags or suitcases due to limited space in the helicopter. You’ll be provided a suitable-sized duffel bag by our crew that you can carry on your aerial trip.

Overweight Charges: If the collective weight of the onboarding passengers exceeds the limit, then a surplus charge of INR 2500/kg on excess weight is levied. Passengers who weigh more than 75 kg will have to bear the extra cost.

Infant Policy: Infants who weigh below 12 kg can travel free of cost. However, you’re required to submit their age proof by providing their birth certificate/ID proof.

Helicopter Capacity: A helicopter can carry up to 6 passengers and 1 crew member in a single flight.

Arrival Date: Passengers need to arrive in Dehradun one day prior to their Helicopter Yatra. The Char Dham Luxury Heli Tour will begin the next day and a complimentary night stay in Dehradun is offered.

Bad Weather Disclaimer and Force Majeure Policies of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter

Passengers are required to be mentally prepared for a situation arising from flight delay or even cancellation. Factors that might delay the helicopter ride include:

• Delayed Air Traffic Clearances
• VVIP movements
• Technical snags in aircraft
• Valley flying by the Indian Air Force
• Late reporting at the helipads by the passengers
• Bad health condition of the flying crew
• It is recommended that passengers keep a day or two extra at hand as the bad weather can cause unforeseeable delays.
• In a scenario of flight delay or cancellation due to bad weather or a force majeure situation, our team won’t take responsibility for the same. Although, you’re eligible for a refund, as dictated by our policies. However, any reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, and meals will not be made.
• If due to any reason the departure couldn’t happen from Dehradun on the first day of the tour, your Chardham Yatra by helicopter will be cancelled and a full refund will be made, subject to our policies. However, if the passengers want to continue the trip on the next available date, they need to make a fresh booking. However, we’ll prioritise new passengers with upcoming tours in the coming days over the previous day(s) back-log passenger(s).
• If the ongoing tour gets disrupted at any point, our crew will suggest an altered itinerary plan, but without extending the trip duration.
• If a passenger suggests any extension in the Chardham package, they have to bear the surplus cost. And the new trip plan is subjected to operational constraints and travel viability.
• If for some reason, the helicopter flight couldn’t take off days for five consecutive days, we’ll refund the entire amount, as guided by our refund policies.
• In a situation, where passengers get stuck during their Chardham Yatra owing to reasons like bad weather, Force Majeure, or any other causes, they have to bear their accommodation charges on their own.
• If for some reason, a passenger needs to fly back using a helicopter mid-tour, they have to bear expenses on their own – which costs about INR 125,000/hr plus GST.
• In case, there’s an increase in taxes or other charges levied by the State government, the passengers have to pay the surplus amount.

Payment Terms of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter

During the time of booking, the passengers are required to make 50% of the payment of the total sum of the Char Dham helicopter package. You also need to ensure that the entire sum is deposited at least 14 days before the beginning of your trip. If you do not pay the entire amount by the due date, you will not be allowed to begin the trip.

Rescheduling of Booking Chardham Yatra by Helicopter

Rescheduling is only possible if you inform us 30 days before the actual trip date. If you wish to reschedule your travel date, we’ll cancel your current booking and provide you with a new booking, subject to availability. Cancellation fees will be applied. You’ll also have to pay 20% of the total tour cost.

Hotel Accommodations Booking Details for Chardham Yatra by Helicopter

• Accommodations are arranged as dictated by the availability of hotels at the time of your trip dates. We reserve the right to change/reshuffle the hotels subject to availability.
• Moreover, the room prices can change, depending on the season and availability.
• Rooms are booked only on a double or triple-sharing basis.
• If you wish to book a single occupancy room, an extra charge of INR 35,000/person (tax inclusive) will be levied on your Char Dham helicopter package.
• All the hotels at the Chardham belong to the non-star category. However, we take the utmost care in selecting your accommodation and pick only the best-rated and comfortable lodging options.

Disputes

• We will only accept the booking by a passenger if they agree with our Terms & Conditions.
• All disputes regarding the application of service, interpretation, legality, or any other terms will be undertaken by the Uttarakhand Jurisdiction laws.

Do’s and Don’ts at High Altitude during Your Chardham Yatra by Helicopter

Do’s

• Whenever possible, take the Palki/Pithhu service over trekking.
• Often take breaks during trekking and catch your breath.
• Be on the lookout for symptoms like nausea, vomiting, headaches, loss of appetite, etc.
• Wear comfortable clothes like a tracksuit and pair them with trekking/sports shoes.

Don’ts

• Don’t exert too much and rest whenever you feel like it.
