Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Delhi – Haridwar

Today you’ll arrive in Delhi and meet our tour guide who will greet you and escort you to the waiting coach from where you will embark on a drive to Haridwar. Once you have reached Haridwar you’ll be transferred to your pre-reserved hotel. You’ll complete the check-in formalities and relax for some time in your room and then you’ll get ready to visit Har Ki Pauri where you will attend the evening Ganga Aarti. If you have time on hand you can explore the local markets and return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 :Haridwar – Rishikesh – Barkot

In the morning, you’ll relish a tasty breakfast and then you’ll check out from your hotel and get ready to board the coach for a picturesque drive to Barkot which is situated at a distance of about 235 km from Haridwar. It’ll take around 7 hours to reach Barkot from Haridwar. On the way you’ll take a halt at Rishikesh and you will visit the mythical Laxman Jhula and Sivananda Ashram. You can also visit Gita Bhavan and Parmarth Niketan if you have time on hand. After enjoying a yummy lunch the coach will drive onwards to Barkot, taking a short halt at Kempty Falls where you can admire the breathtaking scenery. Once you have arrived at Barkot, you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel where you will have an overnight stay.

Day 3 :Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

Wake up early in the morning and have a delicious breakfast and then embark on a journey to Yamunotri. The coach takes you to Hanuman Chatti where you will descend to cover the remaining journey to Yamunotri covering a distance of around 7 km. You can cover the distance either horseback, on foot, or in a Doli (You will have to bear the charges for palanquin and horseback on your own). Once you have arrived at Yamunotri you will take a holy dip in the hot water Kund before you take an entry to the temple. Yamunotri is considered to be the Char Dham Yatra’s starting point and the Yamunotri temple has been built in honour of Goddess Yamuna. If you want you can also cook rice in hot water and as “prasad” take it back home. After having the divine darshan, you will head back to Hanuman Chatti and board the coach that will take you back to Barkot. After reaching Barkot, you will have an overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 4 :Barkot – Harsil (140 km)

Have a yummy breakfast in the morning and check out from your hotel. Today you’ll board the coach that will take you to Harsil, which is considered to be the Gangotri yatra’s starting point. On the way, you’ll have a small halt at Vishwanath Temple to have a darshan of Lord Vishwanath. After a journey of 6 hours covering the 140 km route, you will reach Harsil appreciating winding mountain roads. After reaching Harsil you will check into your pre-booked hotel. After relaxing for some time you can head out to admire the splendid beauty of the surroundings. Return to your hotel in the evening and have a relaxing sleep.

Day 5 :Harsil – Gangotri – Harsil (40 Km)

After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast in the morning you’ll embark on the journey to Gangotri which is located at a distance of around 40 km from Harsil. It will take around 2 years to cover this distance all the while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. Once you have arrived at Gangotri you will have the darshan of Goddess Ganga at the Gangotri temple, who is believed to have descended to earth on Lord Shiva’s matted locks. After the divine darshan, you will head back to Harsil and have an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 6 :Harsil – Haridwar

After a lip-smacking breakfast, you’ll board the coach that will take you back to Haridwar where the Do Dham yatra will finally come to an end. You will be transferred by our tour guide to the airport or railway station from where you will continue the journey to your hometown.
